Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Process Technician/Production Supervisor (1st Shift) in Injection Molding at Champion Plastics, Inc. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, troubleshooting processes, ensuring, setup automation equipment, mold sampling, setup new processes, visual inspections, starting up and troubleshooting automated and assembly equipment quality control, conducting process engineering, performing preventive maintenance, and providing training to the team.
Qualifications
- 5 years of injection molding process engineering
- Experience in Preventive Maintenance and Training
- Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of injection molding processes and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Use of ERP software
Key Responsibilities
- Process Setup and Optimization
- Use ERP system to log machine hours (start up, shut down, down time, setup)
- Set up new molds and establish initial process to optimize part quality and targeted cycle time
- Preform mold changes as needed
- Set up new automation
- Program robots to establish EOAT programs
- Assist in daily startup/shutdown of machines as needed
- Assist in managing process technicians and die setters
- Develop and assist quoted cycle times for new programs
- Address mechanical and technical issues that impact production
